Presented by Arts on Tour

SALON is an initiative to build relationships between NSW artists/producers and presenters, regional and metro: a small-scale, lo-fi conversation starter without the bells and whistles of a full-blown showcase.

NSW artists, producers and presenters, regional and metro, have identified a lack of opportunities for connecting and building relationships across the state, and Arts on Tour is working on ways to address this.

SALON is a platform for Pecha Kucha-style pitches from artists and producers to facilitate connections with NAPACA members and community venues around work.

In 2018 we have two SALONS. The first was held in Sydney on Thursday June 7, 2018 and the second will be in Bathurst as part of Artstate on Thursday November 1, 2018.

Selected artists/producers present pitches of up to 5 minutes each. These pitches may be tour ready work, works in development and ideas looking for partnerships. Pitches are accompanied by images.

Selected presenters will also pitch their organisation: their programming aspirations and approaches, their audiences, capacity and partnership opportunities

Based on our feedback from 2017 there will be extended time available for networking and discussion.

EOIs are encouraged from all genres of the performing arts and from productions looking to tour to both metro and regional venues, large and small in 2019 and beyond.
